<p>Like many individuals, you have almost certainly tried various diets in the past, only to have them fail, either gaining back all of the weight you lost or not being able to keep at it long enough to really get the kind of results you were after. At any rate of which of these categories you belong to, getting rid of unwanted body fat can seem unattainable after awhile.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, many people decide they need to s<span id="more-440"></span>tart dieting, and once the decision is made they start straight away, quitting their prior bad eating habits &#8220;cold turkey.&#8221; The setback is that when this happens, so-called &#8220;cheating&#8221; becomes almost unavoidable, and while sporadic setbacks are to be expected in any diet, folks who go on &#8220;crash diets&#8221; have a propensity to do it more and more often.</p>
<p>Although there are a number of reasons for this, the root cause is invariably &#8220;in your head&#8221; – before you start on any new diet routine, no matter how committed you may be to losing weight, you should make sure to prepare yourself psychologically for the transformation in routine.</p>
<p>The number one thing you should do is decide on a set date to begin the new diet regimen, and it should not be the very next day, or any day throughout the holiday season when it is more challenging to avoid temptation. Once you have decided on a date that makes sense, remind yourself by marking it on the calendar.</p>
<p>Next, you should start actually visualizing how you would like your body to look when you are finished with the diet. Although it might sound ridiculous, some people find it helpful to cut pictures out of magazines and keep them in a scrapbook as inspiration for times when they feel like the diet just is isn&#8217;t worth it and feel tempted to give up.</p>
<p>The day before you begin the diet, go through your kitchen and get rid of junk food that might tempt you – there is no purpose to make your diet that much more difficult by leaving cookies, ice cream, chips and other high-calorie munchies in plain view to torture yourself. Make sure to also get rid of any stashes of snacks you might keep elsewhere in the house or at work, as well.</p>
<p>Just by going through this easy process of getting ready to start the dieting process and not jumping in with both feet, you can significantly enhance your odds of losing weight and avoid quitting prematurely.</p>

<p>The first tip that I want to give you is that your state of mind must be right. The truth is that it is not easy for everybody to lose stomach fat fast. Some people can work out three to four times a week and they will only lose a few pounds whereas others will see big improvements with only one or two workouts a week. You most likely ask why this is and how can you improve your changes of losing stomach fat fast? It all starts in your head and you need to have the right frame of mind. This can do wonders to help you lose stomach fat fast and get your body into a healthier state.</p>
<p>The next tip is to set yourself a goal. Once you have taken the decision to lose weight and get rid of the stomach fat, you need to set yourself a goal, or maybe a number of goals leading up to where you want to be and reach your weight loss objectives. What is a goal? The definition of a goal may vary from person to person, but they must have one thing in common when they set their goal. Every body’s goal must have one thing in common; it must have a end state. If you want to lose stomach fat fast, then your end state could be something like losing a specific number of pounds or inches in a specific time period.</p>
<p>The next tip is you must have a plan. Once you have set yourself a goal, you need a plan to help you reach that goal. The goal can be for example to lose 2 to 3 pounds per week for six weeks. Your plan would consist of a diet and an exercise program which will help you reach that target of losing. Your plan will most likely be broken up into steps to follow every day, week and month so that you can reach your goal to lose stomach fat fast.</p>
<p>Then comes the difficult part, the implementation. Setting a start date to implement your plan to start losing weight is very important. The best thing is usually to start immediately after you decided and after you have your plan drawn up. Of coarse your start date must be reasonable and must fit into your schedule. Try and set the start date so that you know you will be able to keep to your plan and that there should be no temptations like weddings and birthday parties for example.</p>
<p>The last tip is to monitor your progress. Be careful not to be one of those people that weight themselves every day or sometimes more than once a day. Set a day each week to check your weight lost progress and to take some measurements to see how you are progressing towards your goal. This will give you something to aim for and to look forward to. If your target was to lose 2 to 3 pound s a week and you are only losing one, then adjust your plan so that you can get in line with what you want to achieve.</p>

<p>Weight Loss Tip 1<br />Exercise Regularly. This is going to be on every guide you look at on losing weight. Regular exercise will burn your calories and also increase your metabolism rate. When exercising you want to do cardio and weight training (if possible). Cardio gets the heart pumping and is a great calorie burner, however when you stop cardio, you stop burning as many calories which is why you want to go ahead and do weight training. This burns fewer calories during actual training but when you stop the muscle fibre is repairing from the intense workout and you still burn calories which is why weight training and cardio together work great.</p>
<p>Weight Loss Tip 2<br /> Increase Your Metabolism. Metabolism is the thing that breaks down stored fat and converts it to energy. The process is created by the liver and it is also aided by the kidneys. Exercise can increase your metabolism rate (exercise requires energy so the liver works hard to convert fat to energy) and so can drinking water. Water gives the kidneys extra power in helping the liver with metabolism so your metabolism increases when you drink water, which is why drinking 8 glasses of water a day is great for losing weight as it aids to an increase of metabolism. </p>
<p>Weight Loss Tip 3<br />Motivate yourself. Losing weight can be hard at first and many people quit because they get cravings for their foods and can’t help but treat themselves. It can get boring exercising day in and out so you need to motivate yourself. You can try to keep yourself set on a goal of losing x amount of pounds and if you do it take yourself out to have a meal. By motivating yourself you are getting more work done which is why this is a vital part of weight loss as it can make or break you.</p>

<p>Ever since Doctor Oz appeared on Oprah and extolled the many benefits of colon cleansers, even those of us who may never have<span id="more-439"></span> considered doing one started wanting to know more about it. </p>
<p>This is a smart move &#8212; because even though, like I said, it may not be something that you want to talk about your next cocktail party, the amazing benefits, including almost immediate weight loss, lower cholesterol, and lower blood-pressure, make colon cleansing something that any health-conscious person should seriously consider. </p>
<p>But now this is the major problem with colon cleansing&#8230; </p>
<p>Basically, most people believe that while a cleansing itself can be extremely beneficial, the products that some people use to try and give them a little boost very widely in terms of their quality. I&#8217;m going to tell you about the products I recommend in a second, but first let&#8217;s talk about the general procedure involved. </p>
<p>How to cleanse your colon &#8212; choosing supplements? </p>
<p>Most people will cleanse their colon using one of two methods&#8230; </p>
<p>1 &#8212; You&#8217;ll visit a practitioner who&#8217;s going to hook you up to a machine that will literally flush that stuff out of your colon mechanically. Most of the time, you&#8217;re going to be watching as all that&#8230;uhh&#8230;&#8221;junk,&#8221; is cleansed out of your insides and flows through a tube &#8212; which is clear, by the way &#8212; that gives you an up close and personal view at just what&#8217;s been building up in there for the past 20 years or so. </p>
<p>No doubt this is definitely effective, but as is probably obvious, it&#8217;s also time-consuming, requires that you visit the doctor&#8217;s office, and it can also get pretty expensive. On the plus side, you do get to walk around for the rest of the day with that beautiful picture of all that &#8220;stuff&#8221; whizzing by in your head. </p>
<p>2 &#8212; You&#8217;ll choose to do it at home for yourself. This is the typical method most people will choose. It&#8217;s much less expensive and has the added benefit of allowing you to perform the procedure when you want to do it, rather than having to schedule it around someone else&#8217;s schedule. </p>
<p>Assuming that you do this yourself at home, the most prevalent method is going to be to get a colon cleanser that will just give a little assistance to your body to help it expel all of that stuff that&#8217;s just sitting there right now &#8212; basically, the colon cleanser will do the same job as the machine that we talked about above, but it will do it naturally and help your body do it for itself. </p>
<p>The way you&#8217;d actually perform the colon cleansing is quite simple. It&#8217;s simple. Just go with the supplement you feel comfortable with, follow the structures on the label, and then await the results. Them sure you don&#8217;t want to hear too many details, but what essentially happens now is that the product starts loosening up all of that stuff and turning it into something that your body can easily expel. Most colon cleansing suppliers will say that you should plan on staying close to your bathroom for a short while the first time you take it just to make sure that you don&#8217;t run into any accidents while the cleanser starts doing its job. </p>
<p>Of course, it should be pretty obvious that what you want to do is only choose a colon cleanser that has been proven to actually work. There are some colon cleansers that athletes and high powered executives use, but there are also others that are produced by disreputable companies that haven&#8217;t really taken the time to formulate a good product. </p>
<p>So it&#8217;s vital that you choose wisely, and we&#8217;ll get to some of the tips to help you do just that in a second. But before we do that, let&#8217;s just discuss for a second what this procedure exactly is, so you know what to expect. </p>
<p>Put simply, cleansing your colon just means giving it a little bit of help to get rid of the impacted matter that hasn&#8217;t left your system naturally. In the Western world, with our diet heavily dependent on things like red meat, by the time we are in our 20s or 30s it&#8217;s estimated that we have perhaps 5-10 pounds of this stuff just sitting in our gut. </p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the way I look at it &#8212; have you ever happened to see some meat in the deli counter that&#8217;s more than a decade past its expiration date? Now just think of all that in your colon. </p>
<p>Think that sounds disgusting? Trust me, it certainly is. These are all factors I learned about while doing some research on colon cleansers. We&#8217;re not going to get into the gruesome details because I certainly don&#8217;t want to start grossing people out, but let&#8217;s simply say that when you start to see the results of flushing all of this junk out of your system, you&#8217;ll definitely appreciate and understand why it&#8217;s been a struggle to get a flat, sexy tummy. </p>
<p>It&#8217;s a real awakening for a lot of people once they experience a colon cleanse and immediately find that they have a lot more energy, and have almost instantaneously lost some weight from their midsection. </p>
<p>After you&#8217;ve tried it for yourself and have seen the results with your own eyes, I really think you&#8217;re going to be surprised.</p>

Follow this up with some more pushups or close grip pushups. Any type of agility patterns with some bodyweight exercises will work. <p>I am going to ask you a strange question right now. For a few moments, stop reading and become aware of to your thoughts. Now tell me, what thoughts filled your head? Would you label them as positive, or negative?</p>
<p>You know what? The answer to all these depends on your frame of mind.</p>
<p>Thoughts are very powerful. They affect your general attitude. They greatly affect your ability to lose weight succes<span id="more-413"></span>sfully and permanently. </p>
<p>And it doesn&#8217;t end there. Your attitude can also affect people around you. Positive thoughts are invigorating. The people around you are usually energized by this type of attitude. Negative thoughts on the other hand have a sapping effect on other people. Aside from making you look gloomy and sad, negative thoughts can turn a festive gathering into a funeral wake.</p>
<p>A positive attitude attracts people, while a negative attitude repels them. People tend to shy away from those who project a negative attitude.</p>
<p>We can also define attitude as the way of looking at the world. If you choose to focus on the negative things in the world, you make negative impression. However, if you choose to focus on the positive things, you are more likely carry a positive attitude.</p>
<p>You have much to gain from a very positive attitude. For one, studies have shown that a positive attitude promotes weight loss. Those with this kind of attitude also have more friends. And when you feel loved and accepted, you have more self-confidence. Adopting a positive attitude also helps one to handle stress and problems better than those who have a negative attitude.</p>
<p>A positive attitude begins with a healthy self-image. If you love who you are and are confident and optimistic, you make others feel the same way. Even with a lot of weight to lose, you can still respect yourself.</p>
<p>A negative attitude, on the other hand, has the opposite effect. So, adopting a negative attitude has a twofold drawback. If you feel bad about yourself, and you make others feel the same way. Very counter-productive if you are trying to lose weight.</p>
<p>If you want a healthier outlook in life, you need to think happy thoughts, and you have to hear positive things as well. So, what can you do? You could watch a funny movie, you could play with children, spend some time telling jokes with friends. All these activities fill you with positive stimuli, which in turn promotes positive attitude. Focus on the positive things in life. And this positive attitude you now project can be of great benefit to other people. </p>
<p>You do not have much to lose by adopting a healthy, positive attitude. A positive attitude helps you lose weight and once you lost it, helps you keep the weight off. It&#8217;s one of the best easy weight lost tips I have ever encountered. </p>
<p>Studies show that such an attitude actually retards aging, makes you healthier, helps you develop a better stress coping mechanisms(instead of comfort eating), and has a very positive effect on all the people you meet every day. So, what&#8217;s not to like about a positive attitude? Adopt one today.</p>

<p>Hair has an overwhelming importance in many cultures. It is seen as a crown of beauty, shaped to create beautiful things, and even adorned with jewels to highlight its magnificence. In Western cultures, hair styles, cuts, and care pervades fashion, style, and even health magazines, all seeking to pump a new product or an adventurous celebrity hair cut. Yet, despite our endless search for the ultimate hair fitness or the perfect<span id="more-402"></span> hairdo, men and women alike often find their hair in shambles, destroyed from gels, mousses, sprays, heat styling, and bad cuts from over zealous stylists. Before you read another Allure&#8217;s best article, borage yourself with new drugstore products, or quote the newest celebrity stylist hair tip, here are some myths and truths about hair and hair care.</p>
<p>As a trichologist and former cosmetic chemist, I have heard and, unfortunately, seen some of the hair and scalp horror stories. While I champion personal grooming and loving and discovering your hair, brilliant hair care should not come at a risk to your hair or scalp health. Here are some things that you should be know.</p>
<p>Truth # 1 Your Hair is Dead, But Your Scalp and the Hair Follicles that Push From the Scalp are ALIVE</p>
<p>Secretly, the most top reputed cosmetic companies will tell you that there is nothing you can do to remedy your hair woes because in reality the hair is dead. And, frankly, this is true if you are using about 98% of the products on the synthetic or non-prescriptive products on the market. Generally, all products are virtually the same, so much that they are created by the same companies and masked under different brands. For example, Estee Lauder is Aveda, Origins and Bumble &amp; Bumble. Loreal is made by the same company as Matrix, Mizani, The Body Shop, Keratese, Garnier, Soft Sheen Carson, Redken, Lancome and Nexxus. This list goes on forever and generally all the products contain the same chemically derived ingredients in a different concentrations. The only difference is the packaging, the fragrance, the chemical dye of the product, or the list of extracts dashed inside. Because many consumers buy frequently off of packaging, they are often duped and run into buying the same products under different names over and over. This causes you to feel that there is nothing that you can do to help your hair, and the message is only hammered home when someone tells you that your hair is dead, your hair cannot repair itself, your hair cannot grow.</p>
<p>But, what you must remember is that scalp health and the providing of nutrients to the scalp is critical for healthy tresses. The hair at the scalp root is quite alive. Have you ever pulled a hair from your scalp? It hurts quite a bit because that is hair is hooked to the follicle and is receiving nourishment from the follicle, which is receiving its nourishing from what is applied to the scalp and what you give the body internally. However, if you feed you hair what it needs to thrive, as it sprouts, its health will show. So what can you do?</p>
<p>TIP# 1 Eat for your hair and overall body scalp.</p>
<p>I have discovered that patients who are often plagued repeatedly with dry scalp and scalp fungus have anti-inflammatory difficulties and dry skin overall. Introduce moisturizing and anti-inflammatory supplements into your diet, such as Evening Primrose Oil, Flax Seed Oil, Biotin, Olive Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Pantothenic Acid, and Green Tea. I have truly seen tremendous results in patients&#8217; hair and scalp shine, texture, health, and moisture within 4 weeks of changing their diet or adding oils rich in essential fatty acids to their daily supplement cocktail. To further increase the health of the hair and scalp, apply oil rich products that are water based to your scalp. Yes, oils have gotten a harsh wrap in hair care, but in many cultures, especially those with luxurious hair, oils are a necessary requirement. As an Indian myself, Amla, Brahmi, Coconut, Neem, and many other oils are in daily application to my hair to maintain its beauty. <p>Truth # 2 Your Hair Can Grow if You Do Not Cut It</p>
<p>I love the versatility of long hair, and many others do as well. But, there is also beauty in a wonderful cut. Yet, many of my patients come to me expressing deep sadness about their hair thickness or length. I often hear them stating that they desire longer hair, but their hair cannot grow and when it does, their stylist cuts it because it has some form of splitting ends or breakage. It often strikes me as absurd. In India, I went years without hair cuts. It was simply braided or just worn. Further, individuals who have dredlocks may cut their hair very infrequently, and may even burn the ends of the hair to create uniformity and neatness, yet their hair still increases length. I desire more than anything to dispel this lie. You hair can grow without frequents trims to it. While it may grow uneven or even have some splitting, this is common because each hair that sprouts from the hair follicle is on its own timeline. Since some sprouted yesterday and some today, of course they will be different lengths and may split. But, since the hair grows from the root, not the end, your hair can grow, even if you do not cut the end.</p>
<p>Tip #2: If you want your hair to see more length, do not cut your hair, instead nourish it gently to prevent as much damage as possible.</p>
<p>If you want your hair to grow, and you plan on not trimming it, understand that it may not look celebrity like&#8212;perfectly even and shaped. But, it still can have volume, shine, and health. During this time, make sure you moisturize the ends, using something as simple as Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Lanolin Butter, or even natural hair cream. Natural works best for the hair. Because your hair is a part of you, and you work best on natural nutrients, such as vitamins, proteins, oils, nuts, and the like, it is best to give your hair what you would give your body. Make sure you gently comb your hair during this time as well. This will prevent breakage. And, as mentioned above, do not neglect your scalp.</p>
<p>Truth # 3: Chemicals can hurt the hair</p>
<p>Natural works best for the hair. Because your hair is a part of you, and you work best on natural nutrients, such as vitamins, proteins, oils, nuts, and the like, it is best to give your hair what you would give your body. Products that contain chemicals can create amazing momentary effects. But, they are only hair bandages that use silicones, polymers, plasticizers, straighteners, softening agents, and chlorides to alter the feel and look of your hair for a very temporary period. For this sweet moment of gratification, you often live with years of hair damage or have to endure chemicals that canb negatively impact your health. A constant scalp condition I encountered due to chemicals is purple and red bumps on the scalp from chemical hair dyes. I also often see thick patches of the scalp from the repeated use of shampoos containing SLS, Behetrimonium Chloride, and ALS. Despite the hoorah about chemicals not being bad, many of the chemicals used in hair care products are derived from petroleum or alcohol. Petroleum is toxic and alcohol is very drying and damaging.</p>
<p>Tip #3 Buy Natural, Change Your Hair</p>
<p>Salon quality and great products can be found with all natural products. Of course, be cognizant of semi natural products and those that use parentheses to indicate something is derived from a natural ingredient. 100% natural products are out there. And, if anyone tries to discourage you, and they will (I had a patient tell my that Paula someone wrote about how herbs, fruits, and oils are awful for your hair &#8212;how absurd the things we will believe), just ignore them. As a trichologist, I am personally privy to the reality that over 25% of pharmaceutical products are made of plant compounds. As doctors, we search from cures to the hair, skin, and body from rain forests and then apply for the patent, label it as a drug, and rename the plant so that our consumers are not privy to the plant origins.
